Dyno Run 2009 Accord Coupe V-6 w/ 6MT
4 Attachment(s)
Hi All:
As promised previously on this and other forum topics, I am providing some dyno figures on my 2009 Honda Accord EX-L Coupe with 3.5 liter V-6 and 6 speed manual tranny with 93 K miles on the clock. The dyno run was accomplished at Top Dead Center Performance in Mobile, AL. The first attachment is my dyno run from last Friday. Honda “advertised” power ratings (SAE gross) at crankshaft are: 271 HP & 251 FPT;Temple of VTEC baseline dyno of stock 2008 Accord Sedan V-6 Auto Tranny 211.57 HP & 188.74 FPT on 93 octane (see second attachment). My run was using 93 octane 100% gas. The low torque number on my run #1 showed a sensor adjustment had to be made. Run #2 had the best numbers, but all were pretty consistent and as you will note, VERY linear with the little “V” dip showing where the VTEC cuts in. The net BHP numbers at the wheels are very close to the stock gross numbers at the crank. The guys at the dyno shop were reasonably impressed with the numbers and linearity, especially considering they are used to more exotic dyno runs with turbos and such. Once again, here are the mods which generated these numbers:

Pretty decent numbers, and a pretty good gain over stock.
Now you have to go see what it can do in 1/4 mile. |
Wow, nice numbers for basic bolt-ons. I'd like to see your 1/4 mile times as well.

Nice.

Pretty big jump over stock. I know most 7th gen Accords putting down 250-260 hp are running mid-13s, even with the added weight of the 8th gen platform, you should be making enough to run at least as quick.
