I wanna get good sound out of my 2006 v6 accord ur don't have money for cat back, was told mufflers could help but idk if anyone else has had experience with it, but also any decent cold air intakes besides k&n?

Any C.A.I. is a waste of money, that is unless you're really only interested in gaining the 'rush' of intake air sound, then it depends upon how much you are willing to spend. If you have the time to remove the baffles from the intake resonator, you can produce the same (or similar) effect for zero $
Different muffler designs produce their own peculiar sound, remember though, the engine in your Accord was engineered to run properly with a particular back pressure |

Simply trace the air intake to find the resonator located within the lower left front fender in front of the wheel-well and behind the bumper. It's not easy to get to, and often requires removing the bumper and left front wheel, once discovered, the cover can be detached allowing access to the baffles. Videos can be found online showing the process.
The resonator is designed to quiet the sound of intake air, in the old days of carburetors, one could simply remove the filter housing. Can also do an online search for performance mufflers that are designed for your '06 V6 |
