Does the shop have a lift? You're better off just cutting the bolts and replacing them with new ones.

yea the shop has a lift or should i say it better. so i should just cut off the old bolts no matter what? even if its rusted or not? and replace it with new ones? is there a universal size bolts i need to get before hand? im not even sure i never looked under fonda the honda before. Dont know what my baby is holding under her stomach

I can almost guarantee they will be rusty. Those bolts rust within 6 months. There's a good chance you'll shear the head off, they'll snap, etc. So it's just better to replace them. I don't know if the GReddy comes with them or not, they should at least provide bolts to connect the new pipe together so if you have to buy any, it will only be 3 to connect the mid-pipe and cat together.

Penatrating lube and a good air wrench should do just fine, i would try that before cutting any bolts

Congrats on the exhaust

i have a 98 and i just installed the ws2 on it. everyone told me to cut the bolt b/c its all rusted it. i didnt want to do that. What i was was soak it in PB then after like 10-15 minutes, wipe it down a lil bit, then used a blow torch to heat up the bolts. All the bolts came off. i wouldnt berak unless you absolutly had too.

I don't see why you guys are so against replacing rusty bolts when they are inexpensive. I'd rather drop $10 on new bolts than watch my $600 exhaust dragging down the highway.

Ok so everything turned out great!! once i got my baby back on the road after installing the exhaust system i was getting tagged by a cop he turned away from me after i pulled into a 7-11 lol it did come with 4 bolts but had to use 3 old bolts to connect the catlyic converter and the exhaust pipe together not really sure how to spell that but you know exactly what im talking about ha... i did have to saw those old rusty ones off that was the only b*tch about putting it together.. I recomend the Greddy evo2 for sure... not to loud not to low its perfect... AND ITS SOMETHING I NEED TO GET USED TO CAUSE WOW... THE SOUND GOING IN AND OUT OF TUNNLES OR WHATNOT ECHOES INSANLY. I love it and i for sure learned alot after installing the exhaust system with a friend of mine. Next is an intake. The fun never stops its an addiction.

Yeah, i LOOOOOOOOOVVVE going through tunnels... I drive under a ton of LARGE tunnels daily, and I still can't get over revving really high under them :) I usually give myself about 4 or 5 car lengths of space then i floor it though the tunnel... ppl look at me like "woah, that guy's car is loud"

but during normal driving, it's a nice hum
