Magnaflow Cat-Back Exhaust
When having a Cat-Back Exhaust with the stock catalytic converter and exhaust manifold, would it make it sound louder & deeper with a high flow race cat and a header? The reason I ask this is because I wanna do the Magnaflow "FULL" Cat-Back Exhaust on my Accord, which is a 94 EX Sedan with the F22B1 SOHC VTEC, but I'm afraid that it's going to be to quiet for my liking. So I was also gonna do the DC Sports 4-2-1 Two Piece Ceramic Header (HHC5017), the Magnaflow Direct Fit High Flow Race Cat (22636), and an AEM "FULL" Cold Air Intake System (21-408C). How do you think the Magnaflow Cat-Back will sound compared with the stock cat & exhaust manifold, vs the DC Sports 4-2-1 Two Piece Ceramic Header, Magnaflow Direct Fit High Flow Race Cat , and AEM CAI?

RE: Magnaflow Cat-Back Exhaust
um no, the cat-back should be enough to give you the noise level you want.......on a scale 1-10........1 sounding good and moderately quiet, and 10 being unnecessarily RICE loud, it should be a 5
if you do all the other crap it will sound raspy if you don't have a resonator. hope this helps. |
RE: Magnaflow Cat-Back Exhaust
Well I'm not going to cut into a brand new exhaust just to take the resonator out to make it loud. I wanted to do a performance header & high flow cat. But I wanted to know would the exhaust change in sound if I was to add the DC Sports 4-2-1 Two Piece Ceramic Header, and Magnaflow Direct Fit High Flow Race Cat, VS the factory manifold & cat?
