Thanks man, I'm not living to impress... just here for the fun . Now only because I had the extra money I got it piped 2.5 inches from the cat back. There wasn't a kit that was being made that I thought was worth the money. I couldn't find the sound I wanted. I knew what I was going for, and an idea what it would sound like. So I just found a shop and got it welded up.

But, in your case... pinching pennies and not worried to much about performance I think changing just the muffler would give you what your looking for. Although, if you can get the money I couldn't recommend a quality full exhaust system more. Whether that be a pre-fab system, or something more along the lines of what I have done.

If you could tell me exactly what you got, that would help me a lot. The exact pipe, muffler, etc. Thanks man, you've been very helpful.

I can tell you right now that the pipe is likely just 2.5" aluminized steel pipe that the muffler shop has on hand, unless he got it in stainless.

Stainless steel my friend, although living in Miami I'm not sure if you'll need that. I often spend several winter months up north. And not to mention I'm starting the application process to med school up there, so I figured it was warranted. Although it is 2.5 inches though. I also deleted all of the resonators from the Cat back. I'm sure your year and model will be resonated. And they just put it up with as little bends as possible. Good Luck. And keep us updated... we will for sure want to hear it.
