Quick Question about CatBack

I got a Greddy2 a while back, and when installed it sounded sexy.. Nice lil purr/growl that sounded awesome while idle.

I've been noticing as of late it sounds very airy.. Throaty? Not in a good way.. Like kinda farty... It sounds ok when I floor it, although I'm more hearing my CAI over my exhaust... but man it doesn't sound anything like it did new.

Is there any maintenance I can do to make it sound great again?

I checked for exhaust leaks and found my gasket to the CAT was rusted out and blown, so I've replaced that... No leaks that I can find at this point...

I'm hoping the answer isn't "replace the muffler" or something, because it all still looks really good after 4-ish years.

Have you checked your cat? It may be going out, which would definitely make the car sound more raspy

Yeah.... I was worried someone would say something like that...

Anyone else with any input? More specifically, what am I looking for? I suppose I'd take off the b-pipe from the cat, and look inside.... I guess I'd look for -- rust?

I'd hate to go try and get a new cat and that not be the issue :P
