Default Replacement Catalytic Converter and O2 Sensor

I have to replace my catalytic converter and the O2 sensors on my 2001 Honda Accord Coupe (EX I4 2.3l).

The direct fit parts are
642682
13071
13075

Since my car is old, I was thinking of getting some cheaper replacements. So is there anyone that is recommended? It may not be a direct fit. Also, does any O2 sensor works? As in are they standardized or does every converter has its own O2 sensor. It's more of a general question.

You can get cheaper replacement o2 sensors for in the 50 to 75 dollar range, if you look around, and yes, they will work...NGK makes a good o2 sensor in that range...The catalytic converter just depends on what you want... For a direct fit cat, you will be looking to spend anywhere from 130 dollars and up... Walker would be a good brand for you to look into...Just make sure you get a model specific cat/o2 so that you dont have any fitment issues...

EX 2.3 liter isn't enough information.

You're not saying where you're located?
California? If so, you might have the ULEV engine? If so, it's got a SPECIAL oxygen sensor.

Why even bother with cats? No need for them, you can weld a bung in wherever you need.

Open headers FTW!

Actually, the Accord is still bone stock, with every restriction the factory put on it, still on.

I wasnt talking about your accord, actually I was talking about the "why even bother with cats, no need for them"...Theres a time and a place for no catalytic converters, and that is for "race" cars... Hell my mustang actually blew apart the cat that was on it, and geuss what??? I put another one on there...

OP, i live in so cal and drive a 95, i had to replace my cat-converter along with a new o2 sensor. Previous owner welded a o2 sensor to the cat instead of buying a o2 bung, idk wtf he was thinking. had a nasty exhaust leak, not to mentioned he fried the o2 and the cat was no good. went to an exhaust shop and got a magnaflow Catalytic converter along with a new o2 sensor. I think it was NGK, not bosch. It came out to 250 cash with installation. Thats better than midas, they tried charging me 900! i was like whoa!
