Angry 2002 accord vin not valid??

i've been trying to decode my vin and got directed to the honda owner site. so im on there and get registered and go to put my vin in and it tells me that its not a honda vin. i took a pic of the vin through the windshield so i know i type it in correctly but all it tells me is that its Not a valid Honda vehicle VIN. should i be worried my vin is wrong?

i also tried the vin decoder on here but it doesn't load for me.

Do a Carfax on it and or call a dealer to have him look it up.

Suggest posting your vin. You may be swapping a alpha for a numeric; e.g S for 5? One misinterpretation would cause your problem.

good luck

Are you looking at www dot ahm-ownerlink dot com?
Probably the site recognized it as a Canada VIN rather than USA. Does Canada-Honda have a corresponding owner-link site?

jim i think you are right. that is the site i was looking at and didn't realize it was a US only site. i called the dealer gave them the vin and they named off what the car was for me. so nothing to worry about

The "AHM" part is "American Honda Motors" so I figured it doesn't cover Canada, but I wasn't completely sure.
