2003 Accord Coupe LX just died...

RIP 2003 Accord Coupe LX


Changed tranny fluid at 120K interval with the new honda atf fluid. Started getting cold shifting. Yesterday on a BestBuy trip...D light started blinking.

Just like that RPM shot up and gear disengaged. Had to turn the car off and back on to get home.

132000 almost trouble free and 10 years of service.

MAJOR REPAIRS:

--Tranny service at 16000 miles (warranty--replaced)

Minor repairs

--Belt tensioner pully (warranty)
--Motor Mounts (warranty)
--Breaks and Rotors (warranty)

Not bad I say for a car in 100F+ degree summers.

It has been nice Honda. Being replaced with a Toyota Tacoma. (Still have love for Honda as I have a 08 CRV in the garage).

Sorry to hear that. This is why I'm scared to have my tranny fluid changed. I've heard of it doing more harm than good in a few cases.
