2018 no coupe!!!!!!

Why isn't Honda producing the coupe for 2018?

They are also eliminating the V6! I'm somewhat skeptical about the turbo 4's as far as performance and durability.

Got my first Honda in 08 (Accord coupe v6) and loved it. I've always had American brand cars but Honda converted me

I love my '13 EXL V6 coupe, my 2nd coupe. Sporty styling, strong engine and just fun to drive. Decent in town mileage considering the V6 .... 22mpg

I'm not a fan of sedans and sadly may be looking for anther manufacture when I'm buying my new car next year.

Two comments:
  • The 2.0 liter I4 turbo engine has plenty of torque, and coupled with either the 10-Speed automatic or the 6-Speed manual transmission, the 2018 Accord should match the acceleration numbers of the 2017 V6 versions.
  • The rumor mill indicates Honda is going to bring back the Prelude as a replacement for the Accord coupe.

I've always owned American until 08 when I got my first Accord. Honda made me a believer. But no COUPE? Hmmmmmmmmmm the Prelude?

Wonder if it will have the same size of the Accord Coupe. I really like the size, handling and styling of the Accord coupe.

I'm looking to get a new Accord but with no coupe being made, now what do I do? I'm not a big fan of sedans. lol

As far as the turbo 4's are concerned aren't they new from Honda? That's my main concern, new and probably untested as far as durability. I'm also concerned how well the turbo itself will be made and performs ( turbo lag for example) , if that craps out will cost a fortune to repair. I'm sure if you do proper maintenance on your car, the turbo will last .......... however .......

I have been driving turbocharged engines for decades now; modern blown engines operate with virtually no turbo lag, so cross that one off your list of concerns. Regarding longevity, use top quality synthetic oil and the turbo should last an easy quarter of a million miles.

Most auto makers are dropping coupes from their line up due to dropping sales, while sedans are still selling. Take a look at the other car makes, and you'll see what's going on. Keep in mind that Honda's do hold their value, which is something the other can't say. Might be worth waiting to see IF the Prelude gets built.
