cold air intake for 99 accord ex (4 cylinder)

Hi, I just joined this forum because I want to modify my 99 Accord EX. I couldn't find a K&N cold air intake for my car. There is only one for the V6 model. Any suggestions on the best cold air intake? I was thinking of buying the APC. Unfortunately, it doesn't have the blue powder coat that I would like.

Any suggestions/comments would be great!

powder coat? who cares. you should really wrap whatever intake you get in header wrap.

I have to disagree. It looks like crap and you get very little out of it.

wrong...... way wrong, well kinda. it does look like POOP, but i actually tested it and sometimes my intake charge is 20 degrees cooler. but im running a chrome shorty, but anything metal absorbes heat.

20 degrees cooler compared to stock intake or just without the wrap? Are you boosting?
That's a decent gain, but I prefer a clean look and the typical gain doesn't justify the wrap.

Now, if we're talking a 7.3L turbo diesel, that's a different story!

20 degrees is alot. He must be running N/A if he has a short ram. How'd you take the charge temp?

with my multimeter. it has a temp sensor probe in it and i just unplugged that one small vacuum hose and snaked it in there and then sealed it up. i did a number of driving situations like stop and go traffic to cruising on the freeway to wide open. i did it with the wrap on and off with the short ram intake. when you get moving, the air under the hood cools down alot, but if that tube is at 150 or 160 degrees the air has no choice but to be hot by the time it gets to the manifold.

If its under the hood its not a cold air intake its a warm air.... A cold air a TRUE cold air comes from outside the engine bay, mine runs behind the battery and where the stock air box was.
