f22b1 block with a6 head

im also a member on cb7 and am doing this build. the guys over there told me not to waste my time but some tell me it bolts up and goes my question is do i have to block off the vtec ports in the b1 block or do i just bolt the head on no worries. it is a turbo build and there seems to be a lot of back an forth about the f22 block thank you for you help.

Thanks for joining HAF.

I "think" there is a port on the deck that has a "control" valve...so going from vtec to non-vtec I would install the control valve with o-ring (blocks the port).

It is referred to as the oil control orifice and it does need to be installed when using a Non VTEC head on a VTEC block.

Are you having the F22A head ported or any work done to it? If not the F22B1 actually out flows the stock F22A. It really doesn't take much work for it to outflow the B1 though. It is the exhaust side that really suffers on the PT3 (F22A) head.

Thanks for keeping me straight on the terms :)

Also, if you are going "boost" check with your tuner on ECU's or "piggy backs" that they or you might want to use/have.
