Question 2005 Honda Accord

My auto scanner reports a problem with the torque converter clutch which is apparently stuck off (P0700) as well as torque converter clutch solenoid circuit performance or stuck off (P0741).

Checked the transmission fluid, which was recently changed. It is fine.

The mechanic stated that one of the three could be dirty, which is causing the check engine light to come on. My car runs fine with no slipping changes gears.

Is this something I can do myself with a repair manual?

Thanks in advance,

The 0700 is a "generic" trans code.

For the 0741, there are some tests you can do - the service manual will say "using HDS" but you can do these without it.

I've had good luck with "automanualsource" in getting service manuals for my cars
