Hello!
I'm not very new to the car scene and know how some stuff works under the hood and how to replace things but I want to know more on how to fix/replace things other than tune ups, brake changes, etc.
I currently own a 1997 Honda Accord LX with a 2.2L VTEC Engine (also in my signature). So I guess I am still a young grasshopper wanting to learn more. Haha. |
Welcome......
Looks like you have a good base (brakes, tune up)..... just know, we all started there at one point in our lives. Suggest getting a good manual for your car, this will help with most things....then we all learn "tricks" or other ways of getting things done after getting into it...:) Then if you know someone willing to help you or let you help them as things are needed that is another good way of learning..... |

Apologies for the late reply.
Thanks for the warm welcome and I'm from Sacramento California. :D I will also be purchasing an repair manual for my car though, you guys recommend any particular publisher? Like Hayes, Chilton, etc? |
Helm makes the best shop manuals.
www dot helminc dot com Sometimes available on-line, check the "common diy" thread in the "general tech" section. Those downloads seem to be from UK, based on right-hand drive & smaller engines. It's VTEC, not V-Tech. That's your first lesson about Hondas. Now YOU can laugh at the people who call it vtech (vtech makes telephones). |
I will definitely check it out. Thanks.
Haha, thanks for the heads up, fixed it. xD |
welcome - have you drained and filled your Auto trans yet using only Honda ATF?
Cause that is super important on our cars. |
