New cb7 owner
 

Hello, i'm in buying a 90 cb7 accord that needs, clutch and axles and i have civic clutch stuff to plumb it with and axles to replace the old ones. As a new honda owner i was wondering if there is any advice you guys could offer on making those jobs easier or stuff i should look out for.

New Honda owner or just new to Accords? (because you mention Civic stuff)

So when you replace the axles, one common problem is when the new ones don't snap completely into place. (Just the same on Civics) Then after a few days the axle works its way out and you dump transmission fluid on the road... or else the splines just disengage and the transmission doesn't turn the axles.

I'm a new Honda owner, my friend wrecked his civic and i'm buying the clutch pluming stuff from him (master cylinder etc.). My background is Volvo's and Chevy's so i'm clueless when it comes to Honda's. Egr deletes?

I don't know whether the clutch MC would interchange. Knowing the year/model we (or you) can look up the Honda part number to see if they are the same.

They probably LOOK very similar, but the exact stroke and/or fluid volume might be different. It's easy to look up part numbers. Several places on-line sell parts, and most of them use the Honda part numbers.

Probably you should post questions like that in the General Tech section.

Personally I'm not sure about deleting the EGR, but over in General Tech you'll get more people looking at it who know whether there's any performance advantage. (I suspect there isn't)

This "new user" area is mostly for welcome & introduction threads. There's no problem with a new user posting over in General Tech. In fact lurking over there is an excellent way to get familiar with the search function & find things. And don't be afraid to post in the other topic areas. Each board has a couple sticky-threads with rules or information about what the board is all about.
