New Member: I ♥ My '88 Accord
Hello All,
I am new to this forum and was recommended to it by the Admin from the Facebook forum site that shares the same name.
I purchased a 1988 (3rd Generation Folks) Honda Accord LXi this past year and must admit that I am in absolute L♥VE with my little Lady.
Fuel-Injected with a 5-Speed Manual tranny and mostly very minor problems and cosmetic "burrs," she is wonderful to drive. Her OD reads of 240K, but the dealer I got her from (who is a sweet and caring man) agrees with me in believing she has had at least 1 rollover there. lol
Since I remember Honda's as being spoken of as among the first "MILLION MILE CARS," I am proud to think of her having that many miles behind her.
My family has a tradition of naming our vehicles, especially those we want to keep around for a while.
My husband decided to name my "Burgundy Baby" with a somewhat unique choice for an Oriental Import. He dubbed her "Gretchen," of all things.
oh well. At least he likes her enough to give her a name I can use here.
I will be posting and checking other members' posts, especially for parts. I have a LOT of restoring ahead of us. But I could not ask for a better, nicer, or more reliable car than my girl.
