What's going on?

Just recently bought a 99 Honda Accord Coupe. Needs a lot of TLC. Drives great in d4. But doesn't go into reverse. Just makes a grinding loud noise. Driver side window doesn't roll down. Passenger side window motor will need to be replaced soon. All except the transmission issue I can take care of myself. Any advice would be helpful.

Have the car checked for codes, not all codes will trip the D/MIL light
