dont have a honda yet unless you include swmbo,s type r civic[bread van]i,m still toiling around in my saab9-5 estate circa 2000,which has just had to have a rebuuilt turbo, new water pump,x4 wheel bearings and i,m growing tired of replacing parts ,so having been impressed by the reliability of the honda [weve had it for over two years and all its had is tyres ,oil, and ajustable camber arms onrear ]i,m looking at purchasinga honda accord est diesel 2006/2007 model 2.2i.cdti next year sometime i,m after info on any potential problems top look for ,peoples experience with their car ,what they are like to drive etc ,and are they chain or belt drive in the engine cheer all dave g.

Well the turbo diesel isn't here in the states so I'm assuming your not from the US. Where are you from?
I have heard some really good things about that car. Crazy good gas mileage like 45-50MPG and it’s backed up with lots of tourk...just very little HP so I'm guessing its has a very low red line. But like always there always room for upgrades. Keep us updated if you get the turbo diesel accord I would like to hear some 1st hand experience on how the car really is.

Welcome and enjoy your stay. Don't be afraid to poke around the forum and ask some questions...just be sure to post them in the correct area.

many thanks for the welcome ,jumped on tinternet this morning and joined this site not realising it was across the pond in "merica" have since joined a uk forum but not one of my countrymen have seen fit to reply to me ,since this morning i,ve found that there are some quite sever runing problems being experienced by owners of diesels in uk ,jerkiness at low revs associated with maf/egr or thermostats, being inclined to stick with petrol and get a 2.4 s type.my saab is dead at moment awaiting new water pump it done 161000 so i,m not suprised trouble is i just in h/ptl yesterday for knee operation so no1 son is gonna have to fix it for me ,i,m in a splint and on crutches for next six to eight wks.

Welcome, there's a few UK members on here. I just saw someone from Manchester asking about his alarm system.
