need advice badly :(

Hi all I bought a 2004 accord 2.2 icdti car was running like a dream then clunk. The turbo went and when they went to repair it there was a crack in the manifold. Anyway got it repaired but when driving there is a constant whistle from the turbo. Person that repaired the car said it was nothing to worry about but the noise is as annoying as hell. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Im going to move yopur thread over to where that post might get answered more quickly..your Mechanic is a klutz by the way..it didn't sound like that before it broke, so why should it be that way after its been fixed..

Watch where you post your questions...try to get the post's in the right forum..

Welcome to HAF...

if you changed your oil, you should do a "break in" on the turbo. grab the center axle and hold it for a sec while turning the car on. let it go fast so the oil can travel through the turbo and maybe stop the squeal.

Could also be an exhaust leak since he did repair/replace the manifold. You could try loosening the bolts and re-torquing them, and hope that you can get even pressure on the gasket.

I hope the above posts help you.

On another note (sorry to get off topic here, but I have to comment):
I'm jealous. I had to google "2004 accord 2.2 icdti" to realize you have a turbo diesel (that looks like an Acura TSX over here) only offered accross the pond. 250 ft lbs of torque!? plus ridiculously good gas mileage?
I hate to say it, but sometimes the USA sucks. Why can't we have those here?
