2002 Honda Odyssey - radio - int lites
 

I'm a little stumped with a problem I'm having on my 2002 Odyssey. The radio no longer powers up and the interior lights don't work. Car is running fine. Fuses are OK. Alternator checks out (14.4V).
Before completely failing the radio speakers made chirping sounds and eventually faded away. I took out the radio and there was no obvious signs. The van has an aftermarket DVD system that wasn't wired up too cleanly, but I removed that and still no power.

Any ideas????

Possibly shorting the speaker wires to ground. Will everything work when you have the radio out? Something like that should blow a fuse though.

I pulled the radio out and it still didn't work. I think I'm going to buy a new radio, but I'm afraid that isn't the problem. I'm not sure how the interior lights are related. The selector switch for the lights is right next to the radio, though. Hmmmm....
