best trans. for turbo

hey guys so ive finally got my motor fully built after spending about 3gs on it and now ima turbo it but idk wich tranny fits best for it any ideas out there? also somethng with lsd in it thnbx.

Well there is only one OEM transmission that will work that came with an LSD and that is the M2B4. However its LSD is really only good to about 200whp, so if you plan on making more than that I would rule it out, or at least plan to replace the LSD soon after.

so would a h23 tranny do just fine then? because i want to make atleast 400whp or almost.

Yeah h22, h23, f22 would all work. I personally don't know all too much about turbos but I know most people say the f22 transmission has the best gearing for turbo'd cars. You can put an aftermarket LSD in pretty much any of those.

ok thnks alot man..ill keep you posting on how things goes.

h22-short
h23-middle
f22-long

It depends on you really. If your gonna use it for racing all the time and want a quick 1/4mille time and are red light racer go with h22 gears.
If you want to race most of the time and do a little bit of DD with the car go with h23 gears.
If this is your DD and you drive it all the time I'd say go with f22 gears b/c you will save more gas then h series tranny especially on the hwy.

Iv seen some sick boosted h22's with h22 lsd tranny and they are f-in quick. But you got to lanch good or your nothing but wheel spin.

That’s a guy on another of my forums using a h22 tranny. Just to give you SOME WHAT of an idea on the wheel spin you get with lots of power

As you can see the h series tranny helps out ALOT when actually racing. B series trannys are shorter then H and you see how he held on and then barley passed the teg. Hope some of the helps!
