what is F23A4?!?!?

well i have accord 2001 coupe 4 cyl, manual, do i have F23A4?

Yeah, thats the engine type f series, 23 = 2.3 liter, a4 is the revision i guess you could say, i think the a4 has a lot of parts tranferable to the a1(my engine)

MARBRO, u jsut left me hanging.........so whats the difference between a4 and a1(ur engine)
i saw ur car 98 accord...does it mean....99 is a2. 00 is a3 and 01 is a4?

heh, there is no a2 or a3,

theres the a1 a4 which are both vtec, then the a5 which isnt vtec
then theres the j30a1 which is the v6

the difference between the a1 and a4 is the a4 came in California and East Coast in ULEV Accord EX models.

ULEV = ultra low emission vehicle which basically means there are somethings you would have to look up if you were to upgrade to make sure it is compatible with ulev engines and on top of that if its going to screw things up and make your car fail emissions test in cali

the a4 makes more power. it uses a different intake and exhaust manifold.

Anything ive seen is they are rated at the same torque and hp
