I trust you guys so I'm going to toss this out there for suggestions and discussion. After completing the top end rebuild on my 97 v6 24 valve accord, I decided it was finally time to address my head gasket on my 96 ford explorer v6 4.0 ohv and what turned out to be a head gasket change turned into
I figured since its 300k miles , why not just put 2 new heads on it. Bare heads cost 290.00 no springs or valves. Complete heads cost over 400.
Thoughts about getting bare heads and using my old springs and valves, as long as they pass the spec test?
