Hi everyone,

I just picked up my 2013 Honda Accord EX-L V-6 with nav today. I looked in the owners manuel and checked what kind of fuel to use. It says 87 or higher. I dont know if i should just use 87 or the super or what. Which one should i stick with??

Does the manual indicate that 87 aki fuel will degrade the performance or fuel economy? If not then use 87, if so then it's your call.

It says " Fuel recommendation: Unleaded gasoline, pump octane 87 or higher"
Under that it says" Use of a lower octane gasoline can cause a persistent, heavy metallic knocking noise that can lead to engine damage"

In other words, unless you're up over 5,000' MSL, don't use less than 87 AKI fuel.
