Default how much does it cost to replace the motor for your power windows?

mine isnt broken, but it will be sometime in the future, so i was wondering how much it would cost
parts and labor, and would this be replaced at the honda dealership?

and by the way, my mechanic told me that if you roll down your windows and leave about 1-2 inches still up, then that can make your motor run longer, something on the wear and tear

Actually, the regulators (power or manual) are really pretty cheap, not more than a couple hundred bucks top. You can do it yourself with a haynes manual. As far as leaving a few inches up, I've never heard of that. If your motor is running slow, use some slicone type lubircant in the channels and run the window up and down a few times. it should get better, and that, I would think, would extend the life a little bit.
