i gutted my 4 door this afternoon. all i have is 2 front seats. no back seat or stereo. i ripped the amps out and the nasty back seat and carpet. now my interior smells decent and looks cleaner than b4. oh yeah andi reduce the weight of my car

well i weighed my car today, and i'm disappointed with the results, 2860 aka stock weight(scale is only good within 10lbs).

so pretty much i have a gutted interior to get it back to stock weight.
Did you have a full tank of gas? Remember those "stock weights" are dry weights, no coolant, no oil, no fuel. 2 gallons of coolant (16 lbs), 15 gallons of fuel (120 lbs), 1 gallon oil (9 lbs). were you sitting in the car? you lost/took out probably 50-100 lbs total....

i had less than a quarter of a tank of gas, and was not sitting in the car.

"Falken 18s" I'm taking it you have 18 inch rims...those must be a lot heavier than the stock alloys or steelies.

yeah i mean i have added a little bit of weight, but i thought i would be at least in the 2700s

yeah i mean its slowley becoming a drag car, doing a H22 swap soon, bucket seats and harnesses, all that junk.

even considering picking up a spare bumper cover out of the junkyard and putting the diffuser on it just for kicks.

*ROFL* Finally someone took my advice.... People always ask how they can get cheap HP and I've told a number of people, "take out the back seat and gut the interior" but no one wanted to do it or believed me! HA! The proof is in the pictures!
i hate to be a stickler, sir nasty.... BUT even though i knew what you meant, there are people who will expect results on a dyno because they gutted thier interior after hearing this.
improved times (0-60, 60ft, 1/8, 1/4, etc.) should result from a weight reduction; however this 'mod' does nothing for engine performance thus nothing for hp.

In the civic i got rid of everything but the door panels and the dash, and it's stripped of everything behind it, just a shell. No heat, no a/c, no radio.
