a mix between both. Just depends on what I'm doing. I love impact sockets for my tq. wrench but make sure if you use a tq wrench to loosen things make sure you use a old one once you use the tq. wrench loosen bolts you kill your calibration and the tq. wrench is only good for loosing things.

Question More or Less

Thats what Im asking... Trying to re-stock tools, from HVAC to Auto... Deep well sockets, vs open ended wrenches vs standard depth sockets, or the new "Combo" wrenches ...

Cool, U answered a question I meant to ask about torgue wrenches, I dont have one... Ok, U kno Ima on a major tight budget, I have a complete standard depth, 1/4 and 3/8 drive socket set both, sae, and metric, so my next move was to buy a 25 piece both metric, sae, set of open ended wrenchs...But I also need a larger size socket set , both sae/metric, but I was gonna go with the standard depth 1st, then go go deep well for both on my next check in march... wut ya think sound good ??? Also what has been your highest need lbs/per ft. wise on a torque wrench for your car??? we both cb7's, i think so was wanting to get a torque wrench, but unsure of LBS per ft...

On a budget, get bending-beam torque wrenches. I've got a 1/2-drive and 3/8-drive don't remember the max torque on each one but the big one is probably 140-ish?

I got normal sockets & then occasionally bought deep ones if/when I ever needed.
