LOL .... same as turbo?!?! That must be a joke because I know that you actually know a bit about both!!!
Ask my wallet, nitrous is A LOT cheaper than a turbo!!!! I have well over a grand invested in my build and I'm going to need about 2500-3000 more between instrumentation, install, injectors and the first tune. I'm expecting about an hour and 8 dyno runs just for the first tune ..... and this doesn't include the head work and parts. ..... plus all the nickle and dime stuff, like a wastegate plunger seat and oil return line. Ask anyone that has built an NA car into a turbo car, it's a very expensive addiction!!! Nitrous is nitrous. Get this kit and a few other toys for it and you're done. Cheap reliable power with no chance of pooling the fuel and since the gas and nitrous are added in proportion, the AF ratio stays within a safe range. |

well on a basic overview its the same, both introduce more oxygen into the motor, however there are a few special characteristics of nitrous.

Like your vision goes blurry and you accelerate at 10G's like in F&F.

actually my favorite part is when the eclipse blows up, but nitrous oxide isnt flammable to that extent

Nah, it's an oxydizer (sp?). That's why it's so important to dump in a ton, but measured amount, of fuel in with it.
