no not a common problem at all. if the block is bad then a used motor is the trick. lkq all models here in az is my choice for low miles cheap motors. you dont have one there in la that i know about....

k so the tranny doesnt need to be flush but jim is right about the fluid. it has to be genuine honda atf z1 3 quarts.

the rack will ultimately need to be replaced but as long as the car steers...

the oil is from the spark plug seals under the valve cover. and as you can probably see, just two 10mm nuts are needed to take the off. there are 4 circular oil seals that will need to be replaced...

sounds like the tranny is about to go. i think there is a very good chance that your tranny is under warranty until 108k miles. hopefully someone will be able to confirm this. so if it is. trash it...
