1993 10th Anniversary whop
 

Hey my accord has a whop on the drivers side. It has been there since we bought the car a month ago but soon after purchase i had to replace the rack and pinion. Since then i can definately feel a strong pull and this whop almost like my tire has a big bubble in it but there is no bubble. The rim looks straight and the bolts etc are tight. My tire and rim have some play when i pull on it but the rim is tight. I cant figure out if this is axel or maybe just a bushing. Please help any ideas would be great

Is the "play" in the wheel at the 3 and 9 or the 12 and 6 area?

3 and 9 usually lead towards tie rods or a worn rack bushing - you replaced rack but had to throw that in.

6 and 12 are usually led towards ball joints or control arm bushings.

If 3 & 9, then check for play again while someone holds the steering wheel. The steering wheel can spin back & forth quite a bit, which feels like play in the tie rods.
