7th gen suspension upgrade- strut towers and sways
 

So done my research, but still have a couple questions about my 7th gen accord coupe. Definitely want to do the rear TL sway bar, but didn't come to a conclusion about the oversteer debate especially in slick and snowy weather. Now I live in the PNW, not seattle tho I get plenty of snow where I live, and do not want a silly upgrade that gives me some fun handling in the summer causing any dangers of an accident for me or anyone else driving my vehicle. Will the 20 mm cause any increased chance of spinning in slick weather? If so I will opt for the 17. I do drive fairly moderately btw, but like I said would not like to lend my car to a family member from out of town who does not drive in the snow much to only receive a call that the spun it on an offramp. Attachment 17113 Next I would like to upgrade the front strut tower as I have the auto with cheesy strut towers to the firewall. Now I heard you can order the 6MT direct from Honda for cheap just like the sway, but that this requires removing my stock towers. Is this difficult? Does it require cutting? I did not feel a nut on the firewall side, so have no way of knowing how to remove them. If so I would opt for an ebay strut tower, but the ones I saw had more screw attachments on the lateral side of the strut (4 if I remember correctly). Am I imagining this or how would I hook up an ebay strut tower on top of my stock towers?


And lastly are there any rear strut towers available for our cars? Not interested in them so much as for handling, but more for fabbing up braces for a secure rear deck for a better sound system.

Run the biggest rear sway you can. The car needs it. You won't spin out, unless you maybe have some super stiff race suspension and take a corner wrong lol. I'm running a 22mm in the back of my '96 Accord. Along with my coilovers, it puts the handling about as neutral as possible for a FWD car, without being tail happy.

Okay I looked on the ebay front stut tower and yes it would fit fine. If I wanted to run the 6mt front strut how do I remove my current front braces?

Really no rear strut towers? And please any help on removing from the firewall would be great.

Also WTB neuspeed front strut tower if anybody has one. Will pay $130.

there is a nut under the bracing at the firewall, found it while on my lunch break, reach under there and youll feel it.
