Coil overs or shocks/springs
 

Like the title says..what would you go with and why..

Simple question.....simple answer.

I'd go with the stock/OE replacements...Why: the OE set up is fine for my driving style.

Do us all a favor and go to your user CP and put in your year , make,model, 2dr-4dr, engine size..
Helps us info brokers know what were dealing with when ???? are asked in the forums.. :)

From someone who's had both, go straight to a quality coilover setup. I started with springs/shocks, but after a while, you'll want to go lower, and want a stiffer, better ride like I did. No use in spending the money twice.

I just purchased some Tanabe coilovers for my car. I think the car looks great, rides pretty good so far, not too bumpy. I have 17 inch rims and asked them to do a 1.5" drop.

Its a 97 four door LX..2.2

And what brands of coilovers do you guys suggest..I don't want to rough of a ride..firm is ok but I don't want a bone jarring ride..and I have 17's on the car right now. The person I got the car from had put 40's on it and I'm thinkin I'm going to put 45's or 50's on it..

Don't go 50s, they are too big. 215/45 should be good, if the wheels are 7in-8in wide.


For suspension, I'd suggest a Koni/Ground Control combo (you can choose your spring rates), Tein Street Advanced (super comfy), Tanabe Sustec Pro.
