I just finished swapping out the stock suspension on my son's Accord and thought I'd post the before and after pics so you can see the difference:

They're a tad low for my liking, but I got the springs at a really good price (new/other) so I'm not complaining. The car was so high initially I didn't know how much the Pro-Kit would lower it. If I had my choice and cost wasn't a factor I would probably swap out the springs for the higher H&R OE Sports.

The Koni STR.T shocks seem like they would be a bit soft, however the suspension is very stable and level around corners and braking. I'm happy with them, although I wonder if the cheaper KYB GR-2s would have been about the same.

Fyi, the tires are 215/45-17 with medium wear.

Next up is to comb through the remainder of the suspension looking for noises. Evidently when you put a new (and stiffer) set of springs and shocks on a tired and worn suspension it brings out all of the other issues. On the front I've already replaced the front upper control arms and sway bar bushings, might need to do the lower ball joints next. On the rear I haven't replaced anything else yet, might start with the sway bar links and then start going through the bushings. If anyone has suggests on the order in which to do your advice would be appreciated.

 I think it looks just right.

I like it lowered..all my cars have always been lowered..thats the look I like the most..

So it's been a couple of years now, the fronts feel good, but the rear suspension seems horribly underdamped on compression. If I hit a sharp dip in the road the rear end feels like it drops considerably. I prefer a stiffer feel.

Has anyone out there used the combination of Pro-Kit springs and STR.T shocks, who can comment on this behavior?

Thanks. John
