I want it lowered, I need some help...
 

What up? I got a 98 accord 4dr I4...I really want it lowered but Im not too knowledgeable on the subject
what should I get to lower it? I dont want anything expensive cus I can't really afford, but I was lookin at ebay and i found these, whats the difference?

you need to read about linear and progressive springrates and decide if you want the height to be adjustable or not. Then find springrates to compare. I'd look at Tein as a starting point. I had the SS setup and it wasn't too stiff, but it worked well. The springrate shouldn't be too far off for you since I had the V6 version of the same car.

What's the difference between linear and progressive? The height doesn't really have to be adjustable. The tien are over $100 and the other one is like $30, why?

I had my '98 Accord LX I4 lowered with Eibach Springs PRO KIT (progressive). At straigt awaydriving there were less bouncing, on sharp turns on/offramps the car leaned but not too much and I have kept speed of 50-60mph, but now with stock springs I take on the ramps with speed of about 40 mph. The ride was not harsh either.

The car was lowered enough to close up the big tire and fender gap. I went back to stock springs after 8 years of driving on Eibach springs because I did not want to spend any money on camber kits and the inside of the tires were wearing out.

Progressive springs are soft for the beginning of their travel and get exponentially stiffer as they compress. Look at the suspension stickies. They have a lot of good info.
