Lowering an 09 Accord Coupe
 

Im thinking about lowering my recently purchased accord coupe 2 inches. Ive only seen a few people(that have posted pics) across the net that have dropped their accord coupes 2 inches. Is this really something i should consider if i drive the car alot, frequently making 4 hour drives up and down the state? Im thinking of doing it for the look obv, but I dont want that to turn into a problem that may cause serious damage to the car down the road. Im not sure the 2 inch drop is really necessary tho. Im just wondering what any accord coupe owners out there think. do u likea 2 inch drop? Smaller drop? no drop at all? any help is appreciated.

As the drop increases, the ride gets rougher, assuming you pair a quality damper with a quality spring. My 99 is dropped 2+ inches front and rear and my dampers are on their firmest setting. Ride can be a little harsh, but that dampers can be adjusted all the way down to their softest, "OEM" level with a knob. If done correctly, upgrading the suspension will not cause any damage. But, as far as warranty goes on an 09, you may want to look into that or talk to Honda.

I've also had the Eibach Pro-Kit springs that allow you to use the stock socks and still drop that car an inch or so. I would recommend these if you want to keep the stock ride quality.
