Mechanics say to "roll" fenders

Hey guys. Just lowered my 2004 Accord ex 2.4L. I used Eibauch lowering springs... so maybe 1.4'' drop in the rear and 1.9'' drop in the front. They said that I need a rear camber kit but I also need to roll, or cut the inside fender so the wheel doesnt rub against the fender and wear after I put in the camber kit.

My question is... would such a procedure really be necessary?? or should I just do without the kit.

The toe is good
just a little negative camber.

I find it odd that you'd have to roll the fenders with a minor drop. What is the rim and tire size that you are using? You can always put the camber kit in and see how it fits before rolling them, but I am really doubting that you will have to.

225-45-18 are the dimensions. Im might just not even get a kit. the camber is under 3 degrees

The mechanics are just trying to sell extra product lol. With that minor of a drop, you should be perfectly fine, as long as you don't run crazy wheel specs.

And as long as your toe is good (which it is), you really don't need to worry about camber wear with a small drop. Just keep your tire pressure in range, and you'll be good to go. Camber wear will be minimum.

Rolling your fenders is not a bad idea, but I would think about doing it, just for peace of mind. And in the future, if you ever decide you want more aggressive wheels, its already done for you.
