true coilovers VS coilover sleeves + shocks VS lowering springs + shocks

i got a 95 accord LX,

i would like to get a set of Rota IK-R.. my question really is, whats the best way to lower the car? i would love to have coilovers, but i dont want to spend thousands on top of the line brands, and if i go to a show or something, i would want to dump my car, and i feel that if i get springs and shocks, ill be "stuck" so to speak, but what does everyone think of coilover sleeves? are they worth it? plus i live in south florida, and when it rains in my location, the puddles get pretty big... so wha does everyone think of the sleeves?

THANKS :cool::cool:

go with Function and Form Type 1 coilovers. They are the best bang for your buck. They are a FULL coilover set up. They are also cheaper than piecing a coilover combo together. You can snag they F&F type 1's for $600 and like I said it will be cheaper than putting a coilover/strut combo together. Good choice on the Rota's BTW :)
By the time you put a combo together you will but in the $700-800 range easy. When you looking at a good set of struts they will be over $100 per strut. Then Good set of coilovers like GC are almost another $400

hmmm... 600?! sweet, thats like only 100 more than i wanted to spend... but what do you think about lowering springs and a good shock, because i dont want to spend money on coilovers if i wont be adjusting them :-/

I personally don't like lowering springs. After they settle if you don't like the drop...well your stuck with it no matter what. Also your back to piecing something together. To find a good set of struts that can handle a drop will still cost you ATLEAST $100+ a strut. Then add in your lowering springs...if your using a good set your still close to $600. All n all it’s your choice but I personally would go with the coilovers. You don't adjust your coilovers all the time. I have adjusted mine 2 times in the last 3 years. Only b/c I went with a different profile tire and I wanted to go a tab bit lower. Also don’t forget about a camber kit. Either way you go coilovers or springs you will need a camber kit.

do you have the F&F coilovers? just wondering, and i think your right, for pretty much the same price i can get decent coilovers, and am able to adjust it, and not be stuck with drop springs...

I'm about to buy some for my cb7 here soon. But I know plenty of ppl with them and have ridden in plenty of hondas with them. They are a awesome set up and everyone I know who has them swears by them.
