18" tire question 04 accord

I just bought some 18x7.5 wheels off ebay. They have a offset of 45 and are going on a 04 accord exl sedan. My question is what size tires do you guys recomend. Tire rack said 215/45/18. I really dont want it to ride too rough and would a 215/50/18 work? I dont know im a complete noob and could use all the help i can get....THANKS

215/50/18 will be too big for your car and your speedometer will not display the right speed. The size provided by tire rack is perfect for your car.

with 225 your tire is going to be larger. This will increase your grip for take off, I dont think you need that but yes, it would fit.

The difference between those two tires is so minimal you're better off going with what tire rack suggested.

After priceing the tires i have found the 225/45/18 are cheaper then the 215/45/18. Im leaning twards the 225/45/18 but just want to know the downside in doing this. Does it hurt mpg ect.

Go for them. The only difference is that when your speedo says 60 you're really going 60.8. Not a big difference lol.

A little late but:

The 225 will not only be taller but also wider. Not only does that mean the speedo will be off as mentioned but it will increase the rolling resistance which will not only hurt your horsepower but also your gas mileage.
