20" 5lug universal on a 4lug accord how too??

ok im have a 2002 4 doorhonda accord Lx 4 cylinder and i got a pair of 20 inch rims with nitto low profile tires but they are 5lug universal rims and i have a 4 lug pattern. so my question is how can i get those rims on my car ive heard suggestions about filling and drilling the rims, also changing the axels from 4 lugs to 5 lugs, and then usingspacers or adapters. i dont know much so i just need to be pointed in the right direction so i can get it done.

You can get 4 to 5 lug adapters but they are not the safest way to go. They also make the wheels stick out more. Your best bet if you really want those wheels is a 4 to 5 lug conversion of a 5 lug v6 accord, you might be spending some $$$ in parts for that though. Go to a junk yard and find a wrecked v6 (98-02)

all that money your spending is going to be a waste....you do know that 20 inch rims are really heavy...you might hafta change your axels...and when you do have the rims on even with alignment when your speeding the wheel is going to be stiff and at the same time when you brake you going to feel the car going left and right almost like your being pulled more to another side..so whats the point?you might as well sell those 20" and place 18" on it...safer,better and less stressful also you gotta think ahead...now the 4 cyl inline has 2 brake pads in the front and NONE in the back...you're driving on brake drums so you gotta take into consideration all the stress your adding to the only pair of brakes you have...you're going to take longer to brake and suck up more brake fluid then needed..but its up to you..i'm just saying though...

and by the way even if you go to the junkyard to get the 5 lug hubs...that means you going to have change your whole braking system because if you look at the V6 model you'll see it has brakes in the front and back...now look at your accord and you'll notice you have two in the front but none in the back...and also you might be able to use the axels of the V6 model because its more durable and stronger seeing how the V6 is a engine thats packing some serious power and is much heavier then the 4 cyl inline

A 5 lug conversion is a must for 5 lug rims. Filling and drilling wheels? Please record the video of them flying off on the freeway.

HPJunkie, he does too have rear brakes. They are called drum brakes and they have 2 shoes and not pads.

With 20" you will have worse gas mileage, slower acceleration, longer braking times, faster brake wear, etc. It seems like a waste of money to me for no gain, especially the ridiculous look Accords have with anything above 18" (except 8th gens)

yeah you know what i meant dude and i'm agreeing with you.its not going to be worth it and plus i've seen accord on 20" and let me tell you something...if you think its just slip on and drive you're in for a rude awakening because front axel disease is not just a myth or rumor...i don't know if you've heard of it though but you don't want that to happen

If he gets all the stuff off of one of the V6's then he could run 20's on his car. The would be an UPGRADE over stock components. Sure it would cost some money, but hey, if thats what the dude wants to do, then more power to him! Good luck with it bro!

BlkCurrantKord did it: http://www.6thgenaccord.com/forums/s...337&page=3
I hope you know what you are doing. If you areplanning on havingthis done at a shop you might as well sell those rims. A shop will charge you out the wazoo for this job.
A 5 lug conversion is the only way to go unless you want your wheels falling off.
