2018 Accord EX-L 2.0T - 18 in wheels
 

Hello, I have a 2017 accord (with an upgrade to the Honda 18 in rim) that I am trading in for a 2018 Accord EX-L 2.0T. The 2018 comes with 17" rims. Interestingly, 18" rim upgrade on the 2018 does not seem to be a listed option as it was on the 2017. The dealer told me he can take the 18'' wheels (with Pirelli tires 235/45/18) off the 2017 and put them on the new 2018 for me. I love these rims and tires and would like to do that, but I have a couple of questions that the dealer stumbled to answer clearly:

1. Dealer has told me that the rim profile is the same so they will go on the 2018. Since the 18 in wheel is not listed as an upgrade by Honda, should I be concerned in anyway? I did not notice a real difference in the 2017 accord's ride when I went from 17'' wheels to the 18''.

2. When I did this upgrade on the 2017, the dealer charged me for some kind of expensive calibration and a front end alignment. This time they did not mention anything about an alignment and said they only needed to calibrate the TPMS. Is that true? I thought last time they had to do something with the ABS braking system.

Since the dealer told me one thing before and something else now, I am posting this here to see if anyone can provide useful information.

I know Honda has a 19" option for the 2018 EX-L 2.0T, have you considered that? I would highly recommend some good Pirelli's though, as I have discovered that the car, with the stock Michelins, is seriously under-tired. :D Probably why the Sport version on the 19's comes with Hankooks.
