Accord Rims
 

I need help!
I put some 18' rims on my 2003 Honda Accord Ex but it looks like they might not work out. Its making a noise and I believe that it might damage the tires.

Who knows what tire size is correct to have on the car?

18" is only part of the size.
Rim width?
Offset?
Tire size? I think 215/45-R18 is the size.

How sure are you on the 215/45-R18? I had 225/50-R18 but I took them off because the back ones were making a noise.

Wider and taller BOTH... Did the noise sound like the tire rubbing against the fender??

Tire size came from TireRack's website, but you can try that yourself because I didn't know if you had 2-door or 4-door or what engine. TireRack also takes into consideration what offset the wheel needs. If you have wheels with the wrong offset, then even the correct size tire might rub.

Yeah it was making a rubbing noise. (2-door and 2.4L engine) How do I figure out the offset is correct or not?
Also the car is all stock and I want to do something to the car but I don't know were to start or what to do to it?? Any suggestions??

TireRack says 18 x 7.5 rims with 45 to 50 mm offset. Lots of 48mm offset in the rims that they list.

So what's the offset of your rims? Frequently the offset is cast into the back side of the rim somewhere, along with the size, with the letters ET.
So you might find "18x7.5 ET48" somewhere on the rim.

And again, 215/45 R18 is the tire size they call for. Your 225/50 tires are both wider and taller, so they may rub anyway even on the "correct" rim.
