Yes, they'll fit, but they're the wrong size for our car and will cause speedometer and odometer error (both will read low). If you want a wider tire a better fit will be 225/55 R16 tires; they'll be a little less than an inch wider still have the same overall diameter.

Ok, sweet thanks! So look wise will the tire be bigger or smaller, I know they will be a little wider but was hoping everything thing else was same

The 225/55 R16 tires will be wider but otherwise have the same sidewall height.

I have been looking into the same thing for an 2012 Accord SE, same wheel/tire size. In my case I was concerned with wet/dry braking and handling which meant a UHP tire not available in the OEM size for the SE.

I agree with abestar, a 225/55 R16 is almost a perfect match although it's an odd size for some tires.

You might want to take a look at this site:

https://tiresize.com/calculator/

It has a size comparison calculator and will show a graphic display of the difference in size between two tires as well as the speedometer error.

discount tires site has a similar calculator that isn't quite as good but will work for a quick comparison. As a last step, Tire Rack is always a good place to check. Local dealers aren't always up on tire size changes with specific wheel sizes.

I'm having same predicament, I have a 07 Accord SE, the wheel wells are very big and they swallow up the OE wheels and tires, I'm gonna keep my stock 16 in rims but I want the biggest tire I can get on it without rubbing, I tried to order some form Discount Tires online and they wouldn't let me check out, said the tires would rub, 225/60/16's, I realize this is a old comment stream, but can anybody tell me what's the biggest tire I can run without rubbing??

They will probably clear with no rubbing except possibly at full steering lock. That said, your speedometer and odometer will both under report speeds and distances due to the larger diameter of the tires.

The 07 Accord SE sedan has such gigantic wheel wells, the stock wheels and tires look puny on it, can't stand the look, I appreciate your reply and feedback, thank you.

Try the same thing with 205/60 or maybe 205/65 tires & see if it'll let you check out. It may be the rubbing is against the sidewall, not the tread. But the thing about the speedometer and odometer being off is still gonna be true.

And if you just want to do it anyway, you can go to the website and shop by size, not by car-model. Of course, if they rub badly then it's your own fault...

Not really worried about the speedometer being off, 205 is the stock size so yeah it will let me check out, I had to shop by tire size instead of by model cause it will automatically fill in with stock size which I don't want, I was trying to see if anyone on a Honda forum would happen to know what would fit, I'll get a bigger tire but not one that will rub, just takes alot of looking for the answer.
