Need help with deep dish wheels

This is my first post so sorry if I'm at the wrong place but oh well here I go.

I got a 2008 accord coupe V6 and I'm looking into buying a set of wheels. I was pretty interested in some deep dish wheels like the XXR 526 or XXR 006 with a 3.5'' rear lip. The thing is I'm wondering if 20X10 on the rear would fit on my car. I've been looking on some online wheel store and they seem to remove every 20X10 wheels options when I enter my car model, leaving only 20X8.5 wheels (the bolt pattern is the same 5X114.3).

Unless you want to make a pretty substantial change to the fender sheet metal of your car, then no they won't fit. The question I have is, why would you want to mount such wheels on your car? The fact is, acceleration, braking, ride, and handling will all be negatively impacted, and yikes, look out for that little rock in the road; hit it and you'll bend a rim and probably blow a tire.

Should I go for 19 then?

For both maximum performance and fender clearance, no larger than 18".

Too small for what? They're as large as Honda could get without hurting performance and/or change the design of the sheet metal around the fenders and/or compromising tolerance for road hazards. That said, it's your money and your car, and if you really want big honkin' gyroscopes (it is the increased rotational mass, aka. angular kinetic energy, which causes the reduction in performance) out on the corners then by all means. :)
