Need help determining tire size for rims

Hi all,

I have an 2001 Honda Accord VP (its a base model DX if you're not familiar). I am looking at buying some 17" (7" wide) rims, what tires would these rims require to work with my car? I currently have stock 14" rims with 195 70 R14s.

Any help you can provide would be very appreciated!

The Tire Rack recommends a 205/45/17 tire for a 17x7 wheel on a Accord DX. Check their www tire rack com for more info. Click on the Shop for Wheel and Tire Packages link to see what tire sizes they recommend for whatever wheel size you like.

I would only reccomend a 205/50/17 tire...your side wall on the 14" tire is 7.7" and the 17" tire i suggestb is 8.1" OD..overall tire Height 14" is 24.7" and on the 17" tire size it is 25.1"..this will keep your speedo more at its speed rate...

Good luck..and what rims are you getting?
