Offset question - 02 accord rims on a 93 accord

I picked up a set of rims from a 2002 special edition accord and I seem have a rubbing issue. I cant tell by myself where its rubbing but I think its on the control arm.

I see from this chart.

The 02 rims have a more positive offset, so does that mean the rim is sitting over the hub more than the stock 93 rims I had on there before.

Would a wheel spacer solve this issue?

Yeah, the larger offset puts the inboard side of the rim closer to the control arm. But if you just use a spacer then you have to worry about rubbing against the fender arch. Might not be able to go so wide with the rims. Or at least the TIRE size..?

Great thanks.

The rims are OEM 15 inch Honda so I think they are 6 inches wide maybe 7, I haven't measured them. These tires are a little taller than the tires I had on the stock 15 inch rims the 93 came with.

Maybe it's the TIRE size, not the wheel size that's giving you problem??

The wheel size is usually embossed in the metal casting, look on the inboard side of the spokes.

Seems like a spacer is your answer, but I've always been afraid of spacers for strength. Fewer threads engaged on the lugs, more stress on the lugs.
