2003 Honda Accord EX Alloy Rim Leak
Hi All. I took my Accord to Costco to fix leak in tire. They said the tire is fine it is a leak around the rim. They cleaned it and said not much corrosion but still leaks. Any help. I do not know how to fix. I am afraid to take to someone just to rip me off. Any DYI here for someone with a little experience?
Thanks

First I'm moving this over to the Tire/Wheel area where you're more likely to get good answers.
I'd take the wheel off the car & use soapy water around everything to find the leak.
Check the valve stem. If it leaks through the valve, that's a real inexpensive fix with a new valve core.
A leak right where the tire meets the rim is usually fixable by "breaking the bead". The first part of removing the tire from the rim, this just exposes the bead part of the rim. Then the tire shop can smear that area with sealant. Kinda like rubber cement but made for the purpose. The tire doesn't have to come completely off the rim, just enough to smear that stuff around.
Less common but I guess it's possible for corrosion or a crack to actually form & allow air to leak out wherever the crack is located. I'd get anew rim because cracks never heal they only get worse.
(Sean's right. I used the term "new" pretty loosely when I meant replace the rim.)
