WHAT SIZE WHEEL AND TIRE FOR 05 ACCORD

Hi there, my name is Nathan and I am new here, this is my first post but I am sure it will not be my last. I just bought an 05 2.4 Accord EX, I am wondering about tires and wheels. I knew that I wanted to go with at least 19's because I have seen 18's and think there to small for the huge wheel well on the accord. Now I need some EXPERT advise, I was thinking about going with like a 19 and then going with something like a 225 30 19 or something, now I was looking on TireRack and dont even know what bolt pattern I have, maybe you can help me with that also. Also not to sure about the way to drop it, springs ? coil overs ? I just want it a bit lower to fill in everything real nice, want a nice smooth ride also, nothing to rough.

Thanks so so much,

Nathan H.

So in a recap:

Tire Size:
Wheel Size:
Bolt Pattern and Spacing:
Drop Height:

Go to the link I sent you and search around some, and you'll find your bolt pattern and offset there.

On a 19" rim, you'd want a 225/35/19 with around a two inch drop. A 30 series tire is thin and uncomfortable. You won't like the wheel protection on a 30, but you'd probably not find one meant for your rim anyway. I know because I've been driving on them for years. That tire size is for a 7.5 to 8" wide rim. 20's are too heavy.

Hi...
I agree with 6th gen on this post...20's will be way out of line..

My recommended position on this would be not to go over a +2 fitment guide or pay the consequences on a very rough ride for that car..

A +2 fitment would be ...Say! Rim sizes of 8.0-8.5 or up to 9.5" for 19" with a tire like the Toyo Proxis family in a 245/35/ZR/19" maxed out size...

Any more info???please e-mail me...I will respond to you..see spring picture for you..
Thanks..

RE: WHAT SIZE WHEEL AND TIRE FOR 05 ACCORD

Thanks to both. Ya I am going to look at some 19s and hope to find something I like. I like the coilover spring set up but have to ask, how do they ride ? I just know that on one of my cars years ago I just cut the spring and really liked the ride, then later decided to move up to coilovers, I did and hated the ride. I was planning on getting some Neuspeed or such for the Accord, what do you think ? I think the drop in front is 1.75 and rear is 1.25, or close.
I am going to go look for my offset now, thanks for everything.

Nathan

Ok well I have decided on 18's I think. There was just not much out there that I liked in a 19 and I heard that the ride on an 18 is going to be alot better, LET ME KNOW IF THIS IS FALSE. I am going with Neuspeed springs, I think it drops the front at 1.5 and the rear at 1.8 I am not going to a total drop look here, just want a nice large wheel and a fill in on the fender. I hope I am happy with what I have picked out the tire size is 235/40R18 they said that would work best, what do you think ?

Ok well talk to ya guys later

I bought the 19"x8.5 all around. But If you want to go with the style and ignore the performance, you better go with the 20"x8.5 at the front and 20x9.5. at the rear. you have to trim the fender on the rear side a bit for a style. Mine is 19". and my tire is 235/35/19

it's good and i'm using the tein coilover super street.
