Wheels Accord Coupe 01

Hello all.

I bought myself an Accord Coupe 2001.
I live in the Netherlands but my car is imported from Canada in 2008.
I've got the licenceplatenumber of Canada on some receipts, if that can help you all.

When I search on my car, I get the sizes of the European models I think.

  • Pitch 5x114.3
  • Hub 64.1
  • Offset 55
But my car has got only 4 wheelnuts so I want to know what size my new wheels need to be?

-----

Also I got on the rear 235/45-17 and that's probably the reason why it scrapes the rear fender with 4 people in the car.

Maybe I will keep this rims and put some new tires on the rear or I buy a nice 18" set but what is the maximum size in 18"?
I think it's 215/40-18

During 2001, the 6-cylinder cars have 5 wheel nuts, the 4-cylinder cars have 4 wheel nuts. Same bolt circle (114.3mm) same hub & offset.

You have 235/45-17 tires? That sounds pretty big. Stock wheels are probably 15" or 16", so these are already aftermarket wheels?? So their offset might not be correct?

I think the rubbing is the tire size. Try Tire Rack - Your performance experts for tires and wheels even though they may or may not be able to ship tires to Netherlands. You can enter your car's information and look for 17" tire sizes that are OK without rubbing.

Thanks for the reply, that helps me a lot.
I'm always get my rims from a guy in Holland, he got al the nice rims so the size will be enough.

The rear tires are pretty big indeed.
The weird thing is that the front has 215/45-17 so maybe the previous owner thought it looks cool  :p
'It drives like a mop', as we say in Holland haha..

I think I'm going to keep this rims and put 215/45-17 on the rear.
That would solve the problem, I guess..

Again thanks.

That's funny. Great big tires on the rear, but it's a front-wheel-drive car!

Yeah haha..
I would like to meet the previous owner and ask him what's the reason of that.
Soon it will be like it should be.. ;)
