Will these wheels fit a 06 sedan?
I bought some used 18x7.5 diablo vienna rims with a 20 offset for a great price. Will these fit? What size tires should i get? I dont want to do 45, i prefer 40. I was thinking a 225/40/18 tire. Is this fine?

20mm offset sounds way too low. Rubbing on the fender lips??

Is there a way i can make them work? I paid a little over $100 for some nice looking rims. What about spacers? are they safe?

Ok so i took a look at the well again on the inside, and this is what i saw. 18x7.5, and something looking like this 4l5. does this mean the offset is actually a +45? i got the earlier 20 offset from a website, where the person was selling the same rims.

The inner wheel looked like this, with 4 and 5, instead of 2 and 5.http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...M/IMG_7959.jpg

You can measure the offset yourself if you wish. TireRack has a nice explanation of what offset really is.

oh ok, thanks. What offsets do i need to be between, to be ok? and what size tire should use, if the offset is 45? I like either a 225/45 or 225/40

That stamp says: "ET: 25", meaning a +25mm offset on that wheel.
Are you sure the wheels are the correct bolt pattern? 5x114.3mm is what you need. Generally on Accords, stock offset is around +55mm, and you max out around +45mm without suspension adjustments. So, a set of 20mm H&R or Eibach wheel spacers would do the trick. Do NOT cheap out on a spacer that thick. Without a spacer, the spokes may not clear the brake calipers, which would be more costly to replace than a small $100 investment in wheels. Google "tire calculator" enter your stock tire size, then enter the new tire size (a 225 width is about right for those wheels), then change the aspect ratio (40, 45, etc.) until it matches best with the stock tire size. |
that's not my rim, i found that picture online, but mine looks like that but says a 4/5, i assume that means its a 45 offset.
im still confused so hears the measuments. from inner rim to inner rim the measurments is 7.5. From the inner mounting point where the bolts go, to the top of the rim i got 6". I think i came out with a measurement of 44. Does the mean my offset is 45. |
