Default 04 Accord Surging while driving

I have an '04 Accord 2.4L with the 5-speed manual, and I've been chasing a frustrating drivability issue for quite a while now.

When accelerating gently to moderately, specifically between 2,000 and 3,500 RPM. the engine does not have linear power. It almost feels like it's surging or pulling power/timing back and forth throughout that specific RPM window. It isn't violent like I've seen some videos, its more or less feels like there's a dip in the torque curve almost. This engine also does not have a MAF.

Any help would be appreciated.

To help narrow down what could cause the surge, stop by a parts store and have them scan codes. You can also get an obd2 Bluetooth scanner that can read live data. You'd want to monitor certain sensors that could cause the issue to change. Iat, coolant temp, throttle position sensor, fuel trims and some others. If a sensor is changing unexpectedly, then it could cause this problem.

Since it only happens while driving, it could be transmission related. When did you last change the transmission fluid or check the fluid level?
